Thanks for all the messages, folks - but I'm not staying around. Sadly, there are just too many issues, and I don't feel that I can be part of a place that:

I. Encourages discussion on a topic, where moderation sets up threads on discussion of said topic, promotes said topic on main site page, topic is formed of members recruited from site by a separate thread also on this site ... and then the thread is locked, posts are 'modified' and views are unrecognisably changed, and the reason given is that the original topic is not related to this site.

II. Add to that the fact that my own work was taken and used publicly without any mention or credit to me. I wasn't even asked. In fact, I received a pretty insulting email from the member that I forwarded the original piece to. Mentioning this in the thread directly related to it, in a fair and open and non-hating way, resulted in a warning stating that I was "using this forum as my own personal battleground".

III. Finally, being "banned" for a week or so, because I had entered "neo-nazicism" in the 'reason for editing' box of a non-abusive post that was mutilated beyond all recognition by moderation, resulted in a message from R saying that I had been banned for calling him a neo-nazi. Which I hadn't. But I guess that's beside the point because once you've been banned, the argument becomes completely one-sided, anyway.

I have been un-banned for some time now, but couldn't really see any reason to return. Sorry to get all heavy on you, but it is almost impossible to have an opinion in this place beyond mindless praise and sugar coated adjectives. Thinking of it this makes an almost but not quite ironic exit, considering the negative state of the forum when I arrived and the positivity I attempted to spread before the album had been released. Seems like there's always a hunk of lead on one side of the scale.

These are my reasons for leaving this forum. Hope you all understand.

As a parting note, thanks to all the incredibly cool people here - hope you all keep the Meat flag flying.

This thread was never intended to be a discussion thread, it should always have been an informative one. I agree, the whole story should have been handled differently. Fact is, we agreed to support the campaign, but we were not and I repeat NOT running the campaign. Please note the two words "support" and "run" and try to understand the difference.

So somebody took your toys and used them for something new and shiny? And you're not happy with it? No problem, just head over to mlukfc and post a complaint. I bet everybody will support your claim.

), feel free to post an official complaint to the fridge company here too. We're the official fridge company complaint web site. We just love in-depth complaint discussions with a certain degree of personal insults. These threads are so refreshing.

Seriously, the post you mentioning should have been a private message or should have been posted at the fridge company's site - they have one with a blog and a forum, both pretty easy to find.

Dude, I run this place. It took a considerable amount of time and energy to build it. And it's my virtual home and you're my guest. And you are very welcome to stay around as long as you abide to my rules. One of them is pretty simple: "Do not insult your host, wether directly or indirectly."
