I'm wondering if I have time to re-read The Time Traveller's Wife before I get a chance to see the film.... I think so!

I suspect the same thing... Thought the same with Yes Man, and was right, the book is hilarious and well worth a read if you haven't already, but the film was pants.... Still, I'll probably see Time Traveller's anyway...

I am not saying I won't see it...but I suspected it may not be very good...but I have never thought of this...book is written with beautiful words...you don't need any visuals...movie HAS TO have visuals...it HAS TO show love...which apparently shows in some places as somewhat...ahem...pedophilian...

Talking What book are you reading ?

There does not seem to be a topic on this, I have just looked but forgive me if I've missed it !! So what are we currently reading ?

I'm reading Michael Jackson's Moonwalk

I'm really hooked, I've laughed out loud and I'm finding it really fascinating how he started and personally I find it really interesting, but obviously won't appeal to everyone but I can't put it down, every spare moment I have I read a bit more .

Actuallky a search revealed three such threads ... so they're all now merged. And not a point in sight ... although some might get issued for sarcastic cheek

Currently re-reading Lord of the Rings. I used to read the trilogy every year or two but have neglected them of late so thought it was high time to dig them out again.

I am rereading Meat Loaf. I think this is like the 4th time reading it but it has been about a 1 and half years since I read it last. Great book though to read over and over again.

i jokingly refer to it as "the Bible" ... you know... the adventures of the Sex God of RockNRoll ... lol ...

your mentioning it brings back the memory of my first read... my husband picked up copies of it and StoryTellers cds for my friend Donna and me ... and when at the store ... Tower Records... he saw a notice... that Meat would be at one of their outlets within the week for a book signing ! ... clear out of nowhere !!! ... lol ... if he hadn't seen it i would never have known as i hadn't yet been introduced to the wonderful world of the internet... lol ...

i finished up the book the morning of the signing ... and... got it signed !! ... yeah ... what a memorable day that was... thanks for allowing me to remember... and share !!!

t ... ...

oh... and ps ... i'm still reading Bones by Jonathan Kellerman ... even read some before nodding off to sleep for the night ...
