On Monday, after I accidentally stumbled upon the new album on Amazon while checking something for a customer (my team lead will get a chuckle out of that call if he picks it for quality evaluation). In good old tradition I shared the news with my mother and two of my friends the same evening.

Last sunday night, we won our grand final for cricket, I got very drunk and was rattling off anything and everything I could remember about Meat, and just anything they asked about. Was funny it freaked out some people, they couldn't believe someone my age knew so much about him.

Looks like your husband is well-trained, tink!

On Wednesday we got to give one of the products the company I provide support for is going to release soon a test drive. It's a network music player that can also play songs from SD card or USB drive and one of the trainers had generously donated a USB stick with a small selection of music files to test it with. While most of the tracks on there were cringe-worthy it also had Objects on it. Made me smile and comment that the man actually did have a shard of taste after all. Got a few blank stares from my co-workkers, lol!

Meat Loaf popped up in conversation today with one of my sales reps. (who knew not that I am an avid fan).

Rep: "Suz going away for the summer?"
Me: "No, just a quick trip to NY to see my sisters and take in a concert."
Rep: "Oh, who you going to see?"
Me: "Meat Loaf"
Rep: "OMG, I love him....make sure you bring a change of clothes because you will sweat your ass off."
Me: (laughing my ass off AND playing coy) "Why would I sweat my ass off?"
Rep: "That guy puts on a show like you won't believe. It's the most fun you'll ever have at a show."
Me: "Good to know."
Rep: "Funny thing is that when he was down here (Florida) in the 80's, I belonged to a whirly ball league. After a show, he went to play where I have my league, I was too tired to play after his show."
Me: "Wait he sang and performed....and YOU were too tired to play whirly ball."

OK, WTF was whirly ball? See here: http://www.whirlyball.com/home/index.php
Apparently it's good fun.

Fact or Fiction: I don't know if Meat did go to play whirly ball in Florida, but it sure was an entertaining story. LOL!

My friend, her hubby was listening in, he went out and bought the HCTB for her, really cheered her up, she is not well at the minute, but had a bounce in her step after listening to Meat !

Few hours ago on yahoo chat with a friend I just remembered things from the commentary from MSO and when Meat presented MTV in 1993 and I have to share this here because I crease everytime, it sounds so wrong !!!
Meat's got some juggling balls and frustratingly he hurls them at Tracy, (I'm guessing she's the producer ) And so knowing this...

MEAT: I'm sorry Tracy, did that hurt ?
TRACY: Yes !
MEAT: I'm sorry Tracy, I didn't realize they were so hard, my balls !!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
