was talking about the arrangement, not the vocals

My favourite version is the Ken Bruce 'live' session. It's got the superior live arrangement, the good album vocals and it's shorter as it leaves out a lot of that stuff that draws out the album version.

Shorter? Unless my memory is playing tricks I thought it was about 6.30 long and the album version is about 5.50.
