I've got a collection called The Bachman Books, which has Roadwork, The Running Man, the Long Walk and (I think) Apt Pupil in it - it's a really good collection...

If anyone has read "Velocity", was it good? I have that one, and the second part of "Odd Thomas" waiting as well.

I read the Husband, quite enjoyed it, haven't read Velocity 'cos I read a load of DK's books, then found some were a bit samey, got so i couldn't see the point in reading them any more 'cos I knew how they were going to go...
My favourites were always Watchers and Lightning tho'...

Thanks for the review, Hypnobabe

I know what you mean.. DK went through some kind of "strange" spell there for a bit, a couple of yrs ago... think that's why I have stockpiled several of his books, without reading them.. needed to step away from his writting for a bit. I'm now reading "Life Expectancy", at so far it is really good. :)

Cold Fire is another favourte of mine. There is a book by Koontz i read a few years back that i can't for the life of me think of the title.
It was about a guy who ended up in hospital and all kind of weird things happened. In the end it turned out he was in russia.
Sorry if i have just spoilt the twist for someone it's just bugging me. I have been on google and can't find anything.
Another good writer is Stephen Laws he wrote a few good books he was from Newcastle just woundered if anyone else had read any of his books?

The Dean Koontz book is called The House of Thunder and its lead is female so that might be why you haven't been able to track it down It was published in 1992 so i think its the one!!

I'm sure it all is possible Tink... scary thought.... at least I'm not some sort of renegade cracker dude, so I should be fairly safe.... *Hypnobabe looks around hopefully...*

Currently reading....

Mistress of Justice - Jeffrey Deaver, having just finished Shallow Graves by the same author... That's four of his in a week... not bad going!
