Great news .. and I sense one of Meat's size 10 and a halves and his management company's hand here .. for they were on the case yesterday!! .. however, what a shame if Mercury's lack of faith and small production run does mean that the single will go no higher (

Might someone get off their butt and press/distribute some more I wonder? .. or will the single finish up a collectible on eBay? I know which I'd prefer ...

Posters still available .. and let's lobby those music magazines for reat reviews!!

Just to let you know, the hard work does pay off. The local newspaper that I had sent info to on the new album and tour did a feature article on meat like I suggested. The focused more on the tour but it got half a page write up with a brief mention of the new album and a photgraph as well. !!! Success number one!!! Just need many more papers to do the same!! We need more people doing the same. The reason they didnt review the album is simply becuase they don't. The paper - newtownards Chronical only reviews singles and as they are supplied by Woolworths then that answers why the single never got a review!

Hi guys.
great to see everyone still running on full steam.
MB,Thank for your post.I'm very sorry to hear that your having problems.Hope things improve real soon.

Caryl, thanks for the contact info concerning Chris Cowley.I'll definatly be leaving a message.

Heat, well done concerning your DJ friend. Now mercury have seen the responce to this great single, they may put a lot more of their weight behind it.

Meatloafisgod, great idea getting onto the local press.I'm finally able to get into town tomorrow to get my copy of the album (how i've managed this long without it is beyond me ).I'll write a review as soon as I can and tout it around the local newspapers.

Keep it up everyone.Your all doing great .
Rock on.

If people wanna email me with the telephone numbers, including the area codse, of thier local radio stations, telling me what area they are in, i will ring them and request CHSIB. It doesnt cost me anything to use the phone, so it's no bother. My email addy is heather_hindley@hotmail.com

Also, They have played CHSIB about 4 times today on the radio, and they spent about 5 mins talking about the fact that Meat has a new single and album out, and they also mentioned that Meat's gonna be on tour over here this wimter....FINALLY things are starting to happen!!!

I've started a thread on the message board of an on line music mag:
http://forum.metalhammer.co.uk/
and go to Music: Classic rock and old school metal

Also on the smashhits site Meat's listed at No 29. You can vote him higher but only by texting I think

MB - what a heartfelt post!! I hope your family problem isn't too serious, but my thoughts are with you anyway. Let me take this opportunity to thank you for all the personal encouragment you've given all of us in this thread over the past couple of weeks. It really has been a pleasure reading your posts

And you're right, all of us working together towards a common goal has made us more of a team, one which I feel honoured to be part of. Here's to this continuing for many years to come!

Back to business: the situation in Rotrherham Town Centre is currently as follows: Woolworths had 4 copies of the album left and it was no. 7 in their chart. Music Zone had no copies . WHSmiths had no copies either . I've passed this info onto caryl as her request. I hope that Meats people can fill these vacuums as quickly as possible.

Ah well .. you win some , you lose some .. and mostly we've won! Three people who don't appreciate Meat .. there are thousands who do, so let's not get too shocked :)

Another day, another promo :) One thought .. let's tell as many people as we know and can that Meat's on TOTP tonight .. perhaps send them one of our portrait cards or Jen's lovely promo card .. they might show it round where they work too! Let's get maximum publicity for meat's appearance tonight.

Also we have about 15 messages on the card for Mike Cowley .. it would be nice to get some more before 6pm tonight (12 noon US Eastern)

Cards for sending and Mike's card for signing on:

Good luck and success in all our efforts today

Isn't it just Bren!!

Now of course the trick is to phone Nick any weekday between 1pm and 4 pm and ask him to play CHSIB .. "What? It's not on your playlist? Do we have to get him to call you AGAIN??" .. )

Hallam fm .. 0114 268 1444

Oh boy .. would I ever

But .. Meat is still not on the playlist for BBC local radio .. however I have found the name of the bloke in London who makes these decisions. So .. let's do some polite and non-hostile lobbying ..

We're requesting our local station to play Meat Loaf's new song CHSIB, as performed on TOTP tonight, but it isn't on the playlist for local radio. This is arguably his best song since Anything For Love, and that was quite popular!! It's written by James Michael and Nikki Sixx .. is bang up to date and delivered impeccably, and is the title track from an album that's debuted at No 2 in the charts .. Meat appeals to people from 7 to 70 so he must fit their demographics .. so please, please will Andy add it to the playlist for BBC Local radio

You can email claier.jago@emap.com and mark it for the attention of Andy Roberts .. and perhaps include the url for Jen's e-card so he can see and hear just how good it is for himself :)

http://www.meatloaf-multimedia.com/CHSIB/ecard1.html

After all .. we can't expect Meat to phone in every station every day to get it played ..

Thanks to all who signed the card for Chris Cowley which was sent to him just before TOTP tonight.

Meat was on first and he, Patti and the band gave a great performance .. naturally Great to see something of substance in the programme .. if they get much younger they'll be chucking embryos onto the stage!!
