Jim and I have done great things together, have done allot to help each other and I still consider Jim to be a good friend. He may not mind what you say about him but I do. Please remember, Jim is at the top of a very short list of great writers and he should be shown the respect he deserves.

LOL, This isn't aimed at you but, without naming names there are people on this thread who have called Jim Steinman all the names under the sun then as soon as Meat tells them off they all start saying 'Oh we love you Meat', 'Well said Meat', 'I agree with you Meat'. It just makes me laugh, that's all. The things I have said about Jim on this forum are only to do with his involvement with Bat3..... I won't go into detail. However, I have never slagged Jim off for anything that he has done with Meat in the past because hands down, I thing the guy is a genius. The dots are just my way of conveying this without getting the thread closed......

Reading that has made my day

Thanks for posting Meat

Hopefully with good wishes from both Meat & Jimmy, we can all start showing a little solidarity here

Yes.
I do see your point, and in some ways find it rather ironic, BUT, this isn't the time or place for it.

I think we can all agree that we are happy to see Meat's post here, and that most of us agree with his sentiments.

I'm not saying it's not a valid point, i'm asking that it isn't brought up here.

This thread is a cause for celebration, please let's not sour it by bringing up our own diffences.

Back on topic please.

Yesterday at the press-conference Meat gave a big tribute to Steinman. He gave him full credit for Bats and said he is sorry Jimmy couldn't have been there but he sends his best.

Meat then urged audience to give tribute and celebrate Jim Steinman with ovation...

It was very beautiful and graciously done...

Absolutely agree - without Jim we would not have the memories, dreams and great anthems that we love and cherish.

Hard to believe this thread was started by Meat Loaf nearly three years ago. Wow time has flown and now everyone on here loves Jim Steinman.
