I've did a few warnings, i've tried to discuss on a normal way, I locked some topics, so I did my work. And every mod did their work, but sometimes the normal rules don't work, that's the reason why R. mad some extra rules.

So the mods and admin. did their work, otherwise their would be more problems.

Seems like a case of shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted now...
IMO the moderating is most lacking when it comes to those who come on posting with destructive criticism of Meat. Weissheim's initial posting particularly comes to mind and IMO, seems to be the one that angered Meat the most. IMO, the mods should have recognized this post for what it was and come on IMMEDIATELY saying that such a post would not be tolerated, explaining constructive criticism was acceptable but to come onboard with such harsh remarks was not.

Take care.

I went back and found Weissheim's original post and just reread it.

http://www.mlukfc.com/forums/showthr...ghlight=#82301

In reading this I found nothing abrasive, abusive, or he flaming anyone at all. This was a calm and strong review from a fan who was disappointed in a concert and an artist's performance.

By the way, my own concert experience in Universal City was very close to this.... Although there is no way I would not go back to another concert as I would love to see Meat again live, and I understand an off night.

I am well aware of what di was refering to - however the general topic is about what has happened and what some feel should not have been "classed" as acceptable.

What Meat did or didn't do subsequently is a matter of fact - the whole point Winston is should it have actually got to this stage?
I for one amongst quiet a few it would seem do not think that such postings should be sencouraged or supported under the banner of free speach - there are ways and means of putting things across without trying to wipe away in one foul swoop what has been given to us for so long.

Original Sin,

It got to this point because not everyone has reached closure with the issue. I think it is going to be very difficult to expect everyone to agree on this to a person, and writings will always be subject to personal interpretation by the reader.

For myself, I found the posts in the Glasgow thread by fans unhappy with their concert experiences to be written in non-abusive, non-inflammatory, and acceptable posts. It was their honest opinions, and they did not use foul language or abuse anyone that I read as I glanced over your link just now.

We cannot always control others...... sometimes what we most have control over is our own reactions to them. That has been the point I have been attempting to make here several times, and I still do believe that this holds true for Meat as well. Live and let live can work well when the parties involved follow polite and respectful guidelines, and I enjoy reading other people's varied opinions if they are rendered in a positive fashion.

I do understand your points and I respect opinions you hold, I just do not necessarily agree with all of them.

I have not been around for a while so I havn't much of a clue what has gone on (again) but I feel very sad that members are arguing again.

This was once just a friendly place, but now, I just don't know it's probably best if I just stay on the sidelines.

I think we should all calm down. As Meat Loaf fans we have things in common (erm let me think Meat Loaf) so what is the point of coming here and annoying one another (fighting, arguing what ever you want to call it) when we are upsetting the one reason why we come here (speaking for myself I can't comment on others).
Maybe Meat Loaf did overreact but you all have to remember that he has given a substancial (sp?) chunk of his life to music (even I'm like it with my music I can criticize but others have to be constructive) and to read people not even thinking about your feelings can be pretty destructive. Meat is reacting the only way he knows how so lets forget about it as this is his last tour.
