I hafta agree with Lauren on this one.
No way should Shipman have been given the oppertunity to decide when and how he should end his own life. Where were the prison guards when he was doing this? It was way too easy for him to have done this - yes it was the cowards way out, but like Fred West before him, he's given the final finger to the world and has had the last word. |

I agree with what has just been said, he might have escaped from life here and his jail sentence, but he's in Hell ow and thats something he will never escape from

Referring to another thread where someone asked if the death sentence should be brought back. This, to me, is one case that the answer should be yes to. He committed terrible crimes and showed no remorse and no signs of even apologising or telling people why. By imprisoning him he was holding all the cards - he determined his own destiny by taking his life and people were still left without questions answered. I don't think he would have ever told people why or disclose how many he had murdered.
