WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
My Aussie CHSIB arrived today, so all you other Americans should not be far behind. I was amazed at how quickly it got here- it was mailed on the 8th and arrived the 14th. That just doesn't seem right, but I'm not complaining! I got it out of my mailbox on my lunchbreak, so I've only had time to listen to "Lemon" on my way back to work- the rest still awaits! Cheer up my American and Canadian friends, your Aussie CD's are no doubt on their way very shortly.

I got a chance to listen to most of the live CD (all except Bat- I'm saving that for the drive to work tomorrow AM!) and I have to say it was absolutely worth the cost of importing it from Austrailia. Lemon is absolutely exhilarating, the percussion is so clear- no muddy live tracks here. Tear Me Down is even better than on the album, IMHO. (Why couldn't Testify be on the live CD- that's my only gripe!) Love You Out Loud is positively sultry, it's great to hear it live. Anything for Love- this is the best live version I've heard of this- there is a chuckle in one of the choruses that genuinely makes me weak in the knees! CHSIB is great, Patti sounds outstanding. It seems the Aussies clearly got the best deal when it came to the bonus disk!

I agree - wonderful bonus!

It would have been nice to know where the songs were recorded though. It wouldn't have taken much to add the information to the inlay. I am not sure why I want to know that though - I just like to know those sort of things - sad person that I am I suppose I have to have a little moan at something!

It's just the curiousity it you ...... I feel the same way :)

Hopefully it won't be too much longer for me ... I ordered it as an import through Amazon.com here in the US thinking it would be quicker. And I can't believe Sherrie got hers first Guess I just have to be patient

Vicki,

I'm so glad to hear that you got your Aussie live CD! Which are your favorite tracks? I think I'm hooked on "Love You Out Loud" and "Anything for Love". I've been listening to in constantly, except for the trip to school with my son in the morning, when we always listen to CHSIB ("number one on the blue Meat Loaf CD" to my son) exactly 2 1/2 times. Did you catch that chuckle early in "Anything for Love"? Absolutely gives me goosebumps!

Yeah MB, I'm thrilled to hear that yours finally arrived! Yes, please do tell us what you think.

(Does anyone else think the monologue in TMD is a bit slower on this recording? I mean, I know its a tape, but it almost seems like they slowed it down digitally or something- or maybe it's the music behind it that makes it appear so. Opinions?)

Hi again! Oh, I can't believe how great the extra live songs are!! I just wish we knew which of the shows they were taken from! He stopped doing Love You Outloud in the middle of the 4 concerts I got to see, so it has to be before that....

My only complaint (and it's minor) is that I would have loved to have had Testify on there, too, since this is CD accompanying the new album! But as I said, that's minor and it wonderful to have Love You OutLoud on this!!! I love both those songs SO much!!!

Sherrie, I can't say whether that section of TMD was slowed down or not, but it did sound different to me. I'll have to go and listen to it again. I couldn't identify WHAT was different, though.

Thank you, Meat!! Please release MORE SoundBoard tapes!!!! These are tremendous!!!

Love to all,
MB

Male voice in the spoken part of TMD? Huh? I'm not sure what you are talking about- what does the male voice say?

its an echo of the womans voice. It can be heard in the cologne TMD and on the CHSIB cd, he speaks about a second behind the girl saying the same thing, so when shes finished you hear the guy, anyone else no what i mean lol?

Hi, Chris! Now, I understand what you're talking about. I was a little confused, as Sherrie was.

You know, that's actually Meat in the background, talking along with the pre-recorded woman's voice.

I didn't notice that that was missing from the live version on the Australian CD. Now, I'll have to go and listen to it again!! (Not that that's a bother or anything!! )

Thanks, Chris!!

Love,
MB

MB, i know meat talks along during the shows but on the actual cd and also on TMD live cologne (where its at its most noticeable) there is a male voice and it certainly isnt meats. Listen to cologne and get back to me - that aint meats voice

Thanks for clarifying Chris, now I know what you're talking about- its the voice that says "it was the biggest state" right before she says "yeah, everything from Texas is big...." I guess I hadn't thought of that at all- maybe it is the absence of that voice that makes it sound so different to me. After seeing the Mexico concert and hearing the Aussie CD I can't listen to the regular CD without hearing (in my head, at least) Meat yell, "You KNOW it was the biggest state!"

I think that the male voice on the spoken part of Tear Me Down on the album IS actually Meat. I reckon it sounds like him anyway! I got no proof that it is him though Maybe Meat Himself would like to shed some light on this

Hi, Chris! Sorry it took me a while to come back here. I relistened to the Cologne show, as you asked and I believe it IS Meat. I've never heard another male voice singing along with the recorded part.

Keep in mind, the radio show was remixed by Kasim, so perhaps, something in that mix makes it sound like it isn't Meat to you?? I don't know. But like Sherrie and DukesofHazard, I do believe it is him!

We do have people here at the forum who were at that show. Maybe one of them will come forward to give us the definitive answer!

Love,
MB
