so agree.

A perfect CHSIB:

Couldnt have said it better
Did I Say That?
Los Angeloser
Love you out Loud
Peace On Earth
Testify
Tear Me Down
Living on the Outside
California
Elvis In Vegas

I agree. CHSIB is half brilliant and half average/poor. It's like they ran out of money/time/inclination midway through.

I've always thought that. The first 6 tracks (minus Why Isn't That Enough) are great- the last 5 I hardly ever listen to.

I can understand to a certain extent why Meat doesn't perform CHSIB at live shows now because AFL, Paradise and DR are all duets and you don't want any of the songs to seem too similar, which is why I assume he doesn't perform I'd Lie For You anymore even though it got to no.2 in the UK singles charts.

I know CHSIB wasn't a massive comercial success over here, but I'm pretty sure WTTN did well. In which case Why doesn't Meat perform Lie For You, WTRMTR, OS, Dry Eye or RFTRL which are all awsome tracks?

A setlist of the best of WTTN and CHSIB would be phenomenal:

Rubber Meets The Road
Runnin For The Red Light
Love You Out Loud
Testify
Lie For You
Did I Say That
Original Sin
Not A Dry Eye
Man Of Steel
Left In The Dark
Couldn't Have Said It Better

Mix it in with Bat, AFL, Took The Words and Paradise and I'd be VERY happy!

I remember him singing Original Sin live back then - amazing, it gave me goosebumps. He and Patti also performed I'd Lie For You in an absolutely stunning way. I wonder if he still could sing these songs like he did in 1996.

Given his most recent performances I think there's a good chance he could pull them off. After all there's nothing to stop Meat altering the arrangements to make them easier to sing. I think opening a show with Original Sin, Running For The Red Light or Where The Rubber Meets The Road would really get the crowd going.

I guess Lie For You is quite similar to AFL, but I know Meat has performed both in the same set before. A pity because I'd Lie For You is one of my favourites. I've also heard a few live versions of Left In The Dark, and although I'm not a huge fan of the production on WTTN, live it sends shivers down my spine.

I actually liked "Because of You", just sayin'

I would love to hear Original Sin live, but then Meat did sing Amnesty on the Casa tour which was totally awesome. I haven't heard I'd Lie For You live in over 10 years either. Shame, that song was a big part of my school years!

Forever Young and Mercury Blues are pretty good also.

I would prefer hearing I'd Lie For You over AFL, but both are awesome.

Guess this is a consequence of the whole being 'underrated' situation. From a business point of view I guess Meat and his label know that casual fans will want to hear Bat, AFL, Hot Summer Night, Paradise etc while I'd Lie For You, DIST, Left In The Dark, Original Sin and Not A Dry Eye arn't going to have people rushing to buy a concert ticket or album/ download.

That said I think it is a shame that Meat doesn't pay a bit more attention to WTTN or CHSIB because surely a great live version or two of some of these songs would raise awareness amongst the casuals and result in a few downloads?

I suppose I should've expected someone on here to prove me wrong (!)

I guess my point was that most of these songs didn't have much longevity in the shows beyond the tour immediately after the album release, although I stand to be corrected if anyone knows better.

Interesting to note that most of these DR songs would have only ever been performed before Wario was born yet he argues about it as if he had been there.

Well, I learned something new, if only that there are those whose interest in and pedantry over Meat Loaf are far, far greater than mine (!)
