this is the one from TFI right? no i don't think that one was mimed wasn't sounding fantastic vocally but was live as was TFI's policy as far as I remember

I know he did other performances of did ringer around that time, like on the UK national lottery show for instance where they mimed the latw/beacon theatre version

I have it on VHS from when it was broadcast. It's an un-edited version of the Beacon '95 track that they mimed to. Well, as far as I can tell anyway.

It's not mimed at all! I remember watching this live... Also this sounds alittle different to the one first shown, no crowd, and I remember Meat talking about South Park etc prior... Original version Live!!!
Won't play for me, but check it ..

Why does the one I have sound different? Is this bad? Or does it make mine all the more interesting?

Cause your version sucks and isn't the real thing!

Fantastic find Benny!!!! It's such an awesome performance by an amazingly commanding Meat.

Wario, seriously I suggest you remove your video asap as it belongs in the bin along with the Surf's Up one. It's not the genuine article I'm afraid and an insult to Meat. It's disturbing when this happens, when someone intentionally messes around with history. I already thought it was weird to see Meat mime this song if no one else ever did on that show and indeed he NEVER did mime on TFI.

Coz the original LIVE vocals kick in at 1:00
and your one starts at 41 sec...

Loved TFI!

Think this had many of us going as it is well put together but at the same time disturbing to see/hear. In my opinion there wasn't anything wrong with Meat's vocals here either just some kid messing about perhaps.

Well whatever. On a higher note, only meat can cover a Zevon Song:

So the video was tampered with? And I wondered what bothered me about it and why I felt the urge to dig out my footage of the performance...

Well, if Meat's version is the only cover of that song you've heard so far... As someone who thinks that Excitable Boy is one of the best albums ever recorded and who owns a pretty good recording of Meat's Letterman performance, I disagree. I give Meat credit for performing that song, the music is cool but the vocals could be better. Zevon sang the song, Meat screams a little too much for my liking.
