What about technique, who's the best.
What pedals does Paul use? Bet there are some interesting responses to that. Mike |

Their techniques are completely different from what I can see..... Paul is much more an out and out rock/metal guitarist using the whammy bar to bend and hold the notes and with liberal use of a Wah-Wah pedal as well as a volume pedal. Randy on the other hand is as I've said more bluesy rock to me, a much more laid back style with liberal use of a bottle neck when he's into his slide moments.
Neither of them can hit the notes right though as they both have to keep bending the strings to make the note sound right |

Paul is one hell of a guitar player. Those solos and all that two hand tappin blew me away.
He's a really cool guy to talk to. Continually says "holy shitballs" no matter what you're tallking about. I hope he got a new camera. |

Pat Thrall is a great guitar player and the much loved Steve Buslowe a great bass player.
The current pairing of Paul and Randy though is fantastic and Sue W will be pleased when I say Kasim is a fantastic bass player. If like my wife though you think he looks good too you will be well pleased. He's sold out of Quid Pro Quo I hear, you can hear the girls stampeding for copies. Just a brief thank you to Patti, I got the note via Rosie and Dot, thank you so much, it'll be treasured, and my brother-in-law will be jealous! We'll be at Sheffield 29 if Meat's feeling better. Get well soon Meat mike |

Last summer, John Golden replaced Ray ... and he, and Damon were both really good. But I think Randy and Paul are both fantastic, and their different styles compliment Meat and each other perfectly :) Vicki |

If I remember rightly John Golden is the only Guitarist to have toured with Meat and the NLE twice with a break in the middle isn't he? He was part of the line up around the Bad Attitude / BBIS era alongside Bob Kulick and then reappeared last year for a short while.

I'm not sure if it was because I had heard all about this "Paul guy" before I went or not but I was impressed with Paul Crook when I saw him last summer in Denver. I loved his solos and the band sounded so great that night. (And no, I'm not jaded because I met him and John Micelli after the show either. But that was nice.)
Lady B ~ thinking that AndyK knows a lot more about guitars than I thought he did. THAT impressed me. |
