Hiya all

Went into HMV in Swansea today and bought thier last 8 copies of the single Couldn't Have Said It Better Myself.

I asked if they had anymore, and they looked at me like i was a madwoman, which i probably am,(no comments, please sin!!!), and asked if i was sure i really wanted the eight copies that i already had. I said i was, and i even made them go into the stockroom to see if they had more, but they said they hadn't, and they weren't sure when they'll get some more in..i'll hound them till they do!!!!

Hope this helps, fireball....am sooooo looking forward to seeing you in Cardiff..... :P :P :P :P :P

Hi, Heat! Your first time at this thread! Thanks!!! This is just what everyone needed to hear today! Way to go!!!

Here's hoping there's a lot more ML fans as dedicated as you out there today (and this week) selling out the stores!!

Have you been able to listen to the radio in your area today? If you have, has CHSIB been played? I was just wondering if being on the charts from yesterday has increased airplay at all (that plus all the phoning and emailing everyone has been doing ). I hope so! We really need it this week.

Thanks again, Heat. You added a burst of sunshine to this otherwise quiet and a bit cloudy day!!

Hiya MBrevard,

To be honest i aint had much chance to listen to the radio today, but willdo tomorrow, for sure. I'm quite friendly with a couple of the DJ's and they know im a Meat fan, so they do play him quite a bit anyway - thats Swansea Sound btw.

Will be onto them again tomorrow to tell them to play it...i wont ask them...just tell them :twisted

Anything i can do to help Meat get to number 1, i will

Ah, Heat!!! You're terrific!!! DJ friends!! YES!!! Now, that's what we DO need! More DJs on our side!! Hey, maybe your friends have other DJ friends and so on....Too much to ask for?? Well, guess I'm ever hopeful.

Can you give me an idea of the population in your area? I'm over here in the States, and sadly, have never had the good fortune to make it over to your beautiful country! Love to someday, though.

Anyway, your radio station goes out to about how many--if you can give us a guess? I'm just curious. If you don't know, that's okay.

This is great news and you ARE being a big help, believe me!! I'm SO glad you stopped by this afternoon. I'm not kidding about really brightening up the day!!

Hi, JacenSolo! Another new person joins us! Welcome!! Nice to see you!

There's been no final word for the US release yet. I'm waiting for it, too! But I think there have been contract delays or something like that. Heat said she's going to Cardiff. What shows will you be going to--do you know yet?

How many times have you gotten to see Meat live? Do you think he plays your area any differently than the rest of the country because that's his homebase?? I was just curious about that.

If you are creating a FLASH page it is even easier - there is no HTML for the spambot to read.

As far as the forums go, I could not tell you - I am not that familiar with .php and the like.

6 times, plus a private party for the release of "Neighborhood" (where he did the world premiere of the video for I'd Lie For You (big honor), he then hung around signed everything, answered questions........and a meet and greet at a local restaurant before the McFarlin shows.
I'm not sure he plays it differently, personally he seems to give 150% every night, there are alot of family around after the show though, so more people to hang out with waiting for Meat & company.....
But, I am proud that one of my vocal heroes is a Dallas boy !

Hi, David! Home from work? Thanks again, for this morning, mister!

JacenSolo--Interesting name, by the way. I like it! :)

SIX times plus a private party!!! Whoooo! I'm SO envious!! You've been an ML fan for a long time! I just saw my first two shows this past summer. And Meat's coming back to the same venues this year. So, I've got my tickets already! Can't wait.

But one of these is THE VERY FIRST SHOW OF THE TOUR!! I've been trying to get someone to tell me if that's a good thing or a bad thing!! :P (If you're reading this, Meat, I'm only teasing!!)

What do you think of Meat's new single and album. Have you gotten copies of them yet?

Well, I got my German copy of the album about 3 weeks ago, I'm still waiting on both singles to arrive (God Bless Ebay)
I'm liking the album more, everytime i listen to it, my first impression was "this is pretty good", and now it's at "wow, gotta play it again!!!"
So, are you in the States? If so, where?
btw: the name is from the Star Wars novels, one of Han & Leia's kids

You got the German release! That was smart. At the time I ordered, they had it listed that both the German and UK release would be the same, so I ordered through Amazon UK. Then, of course, the dates changed. And I'm STILL waiting!!!! But not for much longer, I hope. The Amazon order shipped over the weekend. And I'm expecting singles from HMV UK, which were ordered last week, when Meat began asking for everyone's help!

So, I haven't had the chance to listen to the finished album yet. But I've heard the individual songs. I'd tell you my favorites, but let me ask YOU first! Which songs do you like best?

I'm from Northern California--up in the San Francisco Bay area--well, in a little, little town quite far away from S.F., but still...it's a beautiful place to live. So, the two venues I'll be going to so far are Mountain Winery in Saratoga and Konocti in Kelseyville.

The first one is a very small venue--only about a thousand seats. The second is about 5000. Which do you prefer, since you've seen Meat so many times--the smaller venues or the larger ones.

Also, have you ever been to a standing venue? I'm thinking about one this year, but I've never had that experience before.

I'm from the States too ... Delaware to be exact
But my older sister lives in Lake Dallas, TX - talk about a small world, eh?

Hmmmm .... I was only planning on seeing Meat when he's on the East Coast / Philadelphia area in the States. But I haven't seen my sister for a long time ... maybe it'll be time for a visit when Meat's in the Dallas / Fort Worth Area :)

personally, I prefer the smaller venue (McFarlin Audutorium is a small theater), I've not been to a stand up gig.
Hard to decide on a favorite, the 2 I'm listening to the most right now are the 2 singles, and You Were Right, I Was Wrong....for now, I may change and be playing others next week. I'm concentrating on the singles, so I can learn them well enough to sing them (i'm a karaoke freak, go ahead, laugh, but it's the only time i get to sing in public and I'm not toooooo bad, i'm NOT Meat though !!)

And, so, I ramble on....

I'm still waiting for the tickets to go on sale for the show at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut It's located on an Indian reservation in a beautiful location ... I've been wanting to go back for a visit for a long time. And what better excuse than a great show, eh?

Karaoke! I'm not going to laugh! I don't have the nerve to get up there and sing, myself, Jacen, but I give people a LOT of credit for having the courage to!!

And you know, that's a great way to bring some of Meat's new music to the US--if you start singing them now!! :) I think that's a good idea!

I enjoyed the smaller venue, too. But then, my seats were closer in and I know that made a difference.

I think right now I like Testify and Love you Outloud the best. I can't seem to stop playing those songs! But I love them all! Can't wait to hear them in the order they were meant to be played in!!

Hi, Jules!! Love you! Welcome back!! Hope you had a good day!!

Hey, Vicki, is your mom still planning on going with you to the Casino? Hope so, that would be fun!!

Meat Loaf shows always evolve as the tour progresses. If you have ever had the chance to review any of the archives ( *wink* ) you will notice some songs get longer and some songs get shorter...guitar and piano solos change. No two Meat Loaf shows are ever the same!

Look at me! I have THREE BATS!!! I told R just 2 or 3 weeks ago that I was never going to make it out of Rookie!!!!

A Miracle!!

Yes, I watched very carefully over the summer the reviews as the tour made its way through the rest of the country and I noticed some of the differences.

But you know, David, this one is going to be such a different show--with new music from the album!! Here is Meat and Co busy, as they need to be with the promotion. I'm wondering how in the world they're going to have time to learn the new songs??!! Meat said they only knew 4 for Amsterdam...

Hi! According to the video on Kasim's front page of his site, as soon as they get through this last week of promo, rehearsals apparently start the second they get back home. If they need to learn anything new, that surely will be a help :) Take care!!

Hi, Jen! OH, I'm SO glad you're here!!

The news you bring, though, surprises me because Meat said on one show--or perhaps it was during the chat, that they were going to be in the UK until about May 5th. Maybe plans have changed? Or maybe he'll be staying on while the rest of the group come home to rehearse!

I haven't seen the new message at Kasim's site. Have to go look at it later.
