Thanks to Deb for this photo taken with her phone camera. For those not familiar with the RVP all the stars line up on stage at the end of the show to applaud their Royal guests and to sing the National Anthem. Meat is 5th from left:

The first guy on the left who Meat appears to be talking to, (yes it is a guy and no, he's not wearing a dress! ), is Tim Curry dressed for his role as King Arthur in Spamalot.

Oh yes! So it is! Silly me! He looks so different when he's partially obscured by Rod Stewart!

Guys & Gals

PLEASE DON't take this the wrong way - I love Meat

BUT was "SPAM A LOT's" first song about Meat's songs LOL

I could just see Meat in the back having a good laugh at this song.

Starts off quiet & slow - gets louder etc

Meat - NO offence meant - but I could see the funny side of that song !!

I don't get what your saying, lol. Who's 'SPAM A LOT' etc? thanx.

Anyway..... Just saw Meat's performance and thought it was fantastic. Jamelia was great (Even though she did miss the odd few words.......Yikes!) and they both worked together nicely.

Well done Meat!!!

I put it on just as SpamALots song was on, and yes they were definitely having a light hearted poke at meat! Long haired bloke singing with sexy female, chandalier lights hanging from the roof, smoke, long haired bloke singing, and saying "this song goes on forever", "always ends like this" etc - it was brilliant!

I thought they were just poking fun at musical theater in general......

Nothing to do with Meat at all. Spamalot is basically the Holy Grail film plus a lot of pi$$-takes at musical theatre. What you saw was straight from the musical.

I'm confused, I thought according to someone on an earlier post, Jonathan Ross introduced Meat but in fact it was Jordan who after singing totally off key did the introduction. I thought BAAB was great but DR was NOT his best imho, not helped by Jamelia (I think thats her name, never heard her before) forgetting the words and sometimes not in tune. To me it sounded very under rehearsed as did a lot of the acts, not surprisingly as the rehearsal time is very limited for this show. Glad I've got my memories of the RAH, roll on Wembley! Ken Dodd is so awful (used to like him) I'm for my bed will no doubt read the slating you lot will give me in the morning!!

Indeed you will read the slating. lol. Ken was awesome. weren't expecting that, were ya! lol. He was great. i have heard on here that his performance was too long etc etc. only thing i can say is the man is used to performing for up to 5 hrs and is trying to fit the best bits of a full show into whats ment to be 15 mins. hard to do, but i think he did really well considering he's 79.

And BAAB was really awesome, shame Meat didn't get to sing it live but, the ending was nicely done. And the new louder music to it worked really well.

I thought Jamelia did pretty good, she only missed the words cos Meat overran on the previous line, not allowing her to sing the full line, oops! Anyways, BAAB was good but I gather (apart from the final part) that it was mimed, yes?

Go to Bat III Forum look for thread started by Fire Ball titled, 'Before Everyone has a cow !!', Meat explains there.

At the show, at one point (which may not have been shown last night) Jonathan Ross as compere, announced upcoming acts that included Meat Loaf (with the legend quote). It was Jordan and Peter on the night who actually introduced him.

I'd like to know what it is that Kasim is shouting at Meat Loaf in the clip! It looks like "move" or "now" to me!

Re Ken Dodd, I actually sat through one of his live shows about ten years ago, and it was brilliant, but I think compared to that last night was disappointing partly because now he is probably (hate to say it, with luck we will all get there one day!) just too old. There comes a time when all entertainers have to call it a day and leave their audience with the good memories. A sad fact of life!

Loved "Blind as a Bat" (even though I kept singing the full version and getting on everyones nerves!) but thought "Dead Ringer" was pretty dismal - just my opinon folks!!
