Default NEVER ask Meat to throw you a beer.

Found this interesting article from a guy who was an extra in the crowd when Blondie plays in Roadie.

Be warned, the guy did not have the best time of his life (as you'll see) and it appears he isn't very gracious about Meat and Blondie, but he can't be blamed too much for that.

Still an interesting read though.

My thoughts on the situation is that it wasn't up to Meat to look after the crowd, there should surely be someone to look after the extras, so Meat can't be blamed (although throwing those beers may have been a kind, but misjudged gesture).

Debbie Harry also should not have to look after the extras, but I can't see the problem with playing a song or two to reward the patience of all those people on such a hot day

Thanks for that, an interesting read, and I thought Blondie was very rude the way she behaved, it wouldn't have hurt her to sing just 1 song for them. But he is wrong about one thing, saying Meat's career has gone nowhere. He's sold millions of albums worldwide and he still sells out concerts in large arenas all over the world, after 30 years. Don't think I'd say that's a career that's gone nowhere.
