Default Snubbed by Planet Rock?

I was thinking of posting this on the strange places to listen to Meat!
It has been bothering me for some time now but the Planet Rock radio station seems to have severed Meat from its playlist. Bar an hour-long "My Planet Rocks" programme which was from a repeated series, I have not heard a single Meat song for an age. Not even Bat.
Has he upset someone there to such an extent that a radio station dedicated solely to 'classic rock' does not wish to play anything from him.
Perhaps I have been unlucky and just missed Meat and I do admit that I don't listen as often as I used to, but the laws of probability would suggest otherwise.
It is only because I am a fan that I have noticed this "snub".

Doesn't work quite the way you'd think. What happens is they record your message and then play it the next time your song is scheduled to play. They won't alter the playlist to put in your song.

Glad that's not how they do it here

Current evidence suggests there is no snub at all.

Alice Cooper is mid show & has just played Meat, There again Alice is such a big draw for Planet Rock I think they would let him play whatever he wants.

Why does it matter if a Radio station plays ML? Do you guys not have all if not most of his tracks's in your collection?

This isn't 1989. Whenever you want to hear a track it's generally available somewhere.

I haven't heard a ML track on a local radio station in at least 12 years.

It doesn't matter to me personally in terms of being able to hear Meat's recordings, but I think it matters to the performer to be excluded from radio playlists. Airtime is a way of being introduced to a new audience, and when new albums are released it's surely of particular importance?

When CHSIB came out I tried to get my local stations to play the single; always the same .. not on their playlist. I finally managed to get one of the DJs on the phone, who told me the only way he'd even consider playing it was if Meat himself phone in and asked When Meat heard he actually did phone in. When they knew he was phoning in they had to phone me to get a copy of the album .. I presume someone had pinched/sold the copy they would have been sent as part of the promotion simply because he wasn't on the playlist the suits had set.

Meat phoned in, they played it the once, and not again

Airtime when an album is released helps sales, and introduces the singer to a new audience. That's why it matters to me as a fan.

AC's show is not exclusive to Planet Rock so, as you say, I guess they just play the songs HE has chosen for that programme.

You are right, it's not important whether I hear ML on the radio. Nice, mind.
I just find it odd that the UK's "premier" rock station seems to have stopped playing Meat. There appears to be exceptions! - a track thrown in on an Alice Cooper produced show and a Meat-based show from a repeated series.
These anomalies asides I believe that Planet Rock do not choose to play Meat on their 'regular' shows where they alone pick the songs.
I will be happy if I am proven wrong.

Planet rock is the premier station by their own opinion & jingles. I suggest however if you want better music you cast your ears towards Kerrang, Team Rock & Absolute rock for a better selection of music, all of whom I have heard Meat on more than he has been plated on Planet rock.

Team rock has been the broadcast partner of Download festival this year so while fairly new compared to Kerrang & Planet rock they have fast gained a good reputation

So come to Germany then. They sometimes play Meat Loaf at the German Radio stations.

By the way, I found this link just one minute ago. I posted it here for those who don't know the "Meat Loaf Radio" , yet. I thought it fits to the topic.

"Meat Loaf Radio plays the greatest hits of Meat Loaf and similar artists:"
