I have to say first how many of these lists on the male side are pretty much identical which says something about music style and resonance with people.
Anyway...
Male - Meat Loaf, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, Chris Rea (Johnny Cash needs an honourable mention)
Female - Kate Bush, Katy Perry, Iggy Azlea (somehow considering i hated her after her first couple of singles), Cher, Lady Gaga.
Groups - The Killers, My Chemical Romance, Muse, Bon Jovi, Roxette (although any male vocal group that covers well known songs can jump in there at any time such as Il Divo et al)
