Hi stephen.

Ok, first of all you need to install the XP system backup utility.

Insert your Windows XP Home Edition CD and using Explorer, go to the following folder:

CD-ROM Drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP

In that folder there is a file called Ntbackup.msi Double click on it and a wizard will start adn work through the installation.

When it is complete, you can run the Backup Utility by going to

Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Backup

When is starts, click on the advanced mode option.

Select the Job menu adn select New.

A set of checkboxes are shown, click on the one labelled System State

Check the Backup destination is set to the right place eg. CD-RW or wherever!

Choose Start Backup.

This will backup your registry and all system/startup files.

Any problems PM/IM/Email me!!
