I think I am a magnet for attracting nutters on buses. My experiences have been many. Everyone looks away when the "nutter" gets on the bus and breathes a sigh of relief when they don't sit next to them and then take great pleasure in laughing at the antics that go on - feeling so glad its not them.
I had one next to me telling me his life story - how his wives all left him and that he was a nice person really ( he'd been in prison twice for GBH). As it approached my stop I was polite and said excuse me but I need to be off the next stop to which he put his feet up on the seat so I could not pass. He said he hadn't finished telling me his story yet and at this point everyone else on the bus looked at the floor or out of the window. Three stops later he let me off. I had quite a long walk home and it was quite scary. In view of his history I didn't want to argue with him.
I also attract the harmless funny ones too, which I don't mind - I tend to play along with them - it cheers everyone up.
