I adore the PB version of this song, and whilst I love the Bat 2 version it does lack a certain something, not sure what it lacks, but it lacks it.
Like many of Jims songs, I prefer the first version I heard of it (we all remember our first time don't we
) so this is probably why Meats version seems to be lacking something to me.
My dog always howls during the Saxophone intro as well, which makes listening to it a little tricky..... (the bagpipes at the end of Everything Louder set him off as well incidentally).
All in all a 7.5/10
