It's a pop song. . .it's popular music. . .a pop song. . .it's not
bubble pop, as in Britney Shperes, but it's a pop song nevertheless, like The Rolling Stones and David Bowie is pop also.
Also, Rock Opera is not a genre, it's something Steinman invented to make the songs sound better.
