There has been no official word but it is impossible to tour in the UK right now. You can plan in a tour but if your cast has to isolate, that's the next 2 weeks of shows cancelled with a days notice. Also with the tier system changing every 2 weeks, a theatre that was open when you book the tour could be closed by the time you get there. Also the tour could be in tier 2 one day and that same area could lockdown to tier 4/5 the next day, meaning that the tour can't travel out of the area etc.
I think that we will be in this system for the rest of 2021. I don't think that there will be any touring theatre this year, but we may get shows which are in one place, or theatre in new types of venues. I would be in favour of an arena tour of BAT rather than a theatre tour. There is more space in an arena.
