In Meat Loaf's defense I doubt he planned on being ill for all his filmed concerts. It's just down to very bad luck and probably a poor immune system. Also in the case of 3 Bats I doubt he expected his own management company to prevent him from redoing vocals and James Michael to do a poor job of mixing the audio. In the case of Guilty Pleasures I doubt he expected ConcertOne to make such a hash of everything.
All that said, it is puzzling why there's so little live product available from the Bat 2 - Very Best Of period as Meat was incredibly popular, especially in Europe. Storytellers was primarily for the American market, with the European release an afterthought. Live Around The World was never officially released in Europe either. All we got was a bunch of B-sides of varying quality.

Certainly it was no fault of Meat's. He was doing his job as the performer and he could not help what production companies and managers did. The thing that is unfortunate is that the best overall footage that we know exists is at least partially controlled by one of the world's largest media conglomerates and it probably complicates things enough to make it worthwhile for everyone involved.
