I'm very sad to see Patti out of the band.
She's been Meat longest serving female by far, and IMHO his greatest onstage foil.
They always had such a great report with each other on stage, bouncing off each other, adlibbing to put each other off, you can see from their smiles that they weren't just playing a gig and going through the motions, they were having FUN.
I was lucky enough to meet her in 2003 after a concert at Wembley, and found her completely charming. I know from many many posts on here that i'm not alone in that opinion. I've never seen anybody say a bad word about her. About her performance or about her interaction with fans. I've certainly never heard anyone say that they wanted to say hello to her and she was too busy.
At Wembley she seemed genuinely delighted to be talking to me. Even though she had just done a hard nights work, she was totally engaged, and didn't seem to be in any rush to get the hell out of dodge and enjoy some very well earned down time.
She's a wonderful person, a fantastic theatrical performer, and an amazing singer.
That voice, man that voice............
Meat and his fans have been very fortunate to have had this talented and exceptional lady as part of our family for the last 20 years.
I'm sure that doors will continue to open for her professionally, and the loss of the Meat Loaf world will be another artist's gain.
I look forward to seeing and following what she does in the future.
Thank you Patti, so very very much, for all you have given us.
We love you very much xxx
