From my experience people saying that an artist was two hours late are usually overblown and coming from people who don't go to a lot of concerts.

They think that if the show starts at 8:00pm that means the headliner will be on. You'll have the opening band usually start about 15-20 mins after show start time, play for 45 minutes and than you have 30-45 minutes of changeover. Pretty standard IMO, though I don't know all the facts.

I have NEVER been to a concert where the artist didn't go on a little bit later.

In regards to the best fan base? It's pretty hard to say. What do you base it on? Size? Per Capita loyal fans? What about those that are loyal to the artist no matter what they do? Are they really 'great' fans?

There is no best fan base. Not even us.
