Very well said. It wasn't even the political endorsement that sent me over the edge. It was the fact that any who posted disagreement or disappointment with that endorsement on his Facebook page got their comments deleted. IT became one big happy love fest for Romney. A friend from another country said "when I looked at Meat's FB book it looked like 100% of the US would be voting for Romney." He had the rght to have an opinion and have his say, yet his fans had no right to express their feelings; goes against what he says he stands for. Action speak louder than words. Then to make it look even worse, he just deleted any & all references to politics at all. He makes a bold, controversial political endorsment and says that you should fight with friends & family to get them to vote for Romney, Then deletes ALL political references. He jumped into the political fray and the negatvity that goes with it by endorsing someone. Yet when the understandable aftermath started, he couldn't deal with it in an adult, respectful manner.
Insulting 97% of your fan base and calling them names isn't helping to win back fans either. Right now his behavior reminds me of a two year old whose mommy just told him NO so the kid throws a major temper tantrum. That's how I see it.
I would say it to his face, however I am one of those people that, in his own words, wouldn't be allowed anywhere near a M&G. At this point I wouldn't even waste my money on a M&G. I hope that 97% of his fan base will stay away. He can look out at empty arenas across the UK and in America when next to no one shows up.
So disappointed & upset in a man i once admired & respected.
Yeah, I won't let the door hit me on the way out either, as Meat said.
I will still love the music he has produced so far. Love the music, not the man
