Just curious. I've seen some people hating on the violin in the Guilty Pleasures review thread, and I've seen others loving it. Now that the newness has worn off...where do you stand?
I quite like it. I can see how it wouldn't be to some peoples' tastes, but I think it's a cool addition. I particularly like it in Bat out of Hell, even if it is only a minor role. It adds a more Steinman quality to the pieces, which can only be a good thing in my book

As weird as it may sound, to me it embodies Jim's comment from Wasted Youth (the live version): "It had a heart of chrome and voice like a horny, throat-sucking angel!"
I like the violin
