I sort of knew that I was contradicting myself!
If I had never heard Pandora's version then I would probably have rated Meat's effort higher.
But, it's the comparison thing. I really liked the original and just preferred it to Meat's cover and so it followed that I was, perhaps unjustly, slightly 'disappointed' in Meat's song.
I don't dislike it at all but it is my least favourite song on Bat 2. Which, I guess, proves what a great album it is!
If that is masterpiece how do you categorise Steinman songs that you really really really like??
