Actually I got the impression that the real problem was that the person they were due to meet was delayed and that led to Meat thinking he'd given the wrong address? Even if he'd given the wrong address, if she was late it can't have caused a real problem. The way he handled the boardroom was impeccable. He was a supportive, liked and successful leader, so his team were behind him.

watch Jose while Meat was asked how he did. He was very happy.
Meat has no enemies (aside from Gary, to a very small extent).
Meat's a team player, always been a team player, and a good leader. He's the kind of solid, hardworking rock in a team who would be liked I don't think Gary means to be anything of an "enemy" .. It's his tendency to get diverted that cuts across Meat's very clear task-focused approach. Meat brings no ego to the table, no need to be a star in the proceedings or to camera. He doesn't seem to feel the need to "perform" or be "Meat Loaf" unless it directly contributes to the task, for eg when being the household name he is was a "pull" in the Pizza parlour.

"Meat, you're Fired" sounds so wrong.
I think we won't hear that for a long time .. I hope not even in the final episode
