He attacked his fans? I didn't see that. He's said here he hates the album, and pretty soon explained why. This site represents relatively few of his fans surely in the greater scheme of things, and I saw no attacks on fans in the press or in interviews.

I loved and still love the album (and there were plenty here who didn't .. so I can't see they would have been insulted, apart from him releasing it!). I understand why Meat feels the way he does, and that doesn't insult me. If someone looks forward to the album, buys it and likes it, why should that change?

If anyone read an interview where Meat "slated" the album (and I think in any I saw he explained why) I see no reason for them to interpret that as an attack, nor for them to change their mind about what they like to listen to, nor for them to feel they wouldn't "dare" to say to a friend that they like it.

After seeing him go off in the trailer I'm afraid he will appear like certain other participants. I'm still hoping that it was not serious, a misleading edit or that he was just acting the tantrum for some reason but recalling previous shows, I tend to doubt that.
Well what we've seen IS a brief edit. I'd prefer to watch the show before I pass judgement. I've also seen edits which show Meat working and joking with people coming into a pizza parlour, which could be more indicative of his contribution.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I'm not keen on witnessing Meat fighting with Gary Busey or someone else on TV.
I've just seen him yelling at Busey not to get in his face .. hardly "fighting". He used his "Meat Loaf" character and that's probably why that edit was chosen. From what Meat has said I have the impression he worked hard and competed whilst having fun, learned a lot, enjoyed doing it, and was pretty successful.

Some people will probably think that Meat angrily yelling at someone is somehow "cool" ....
I don't .. but I do accept it as an very short edit chosen by those promoting the programme and not necessarily indicative of Meat's showing as a whole. So far I've seen more affability than anger from him in edits made public. This particular one may make a lot more sense when seen in context. Did he lose his cool, or did he simply give Busey an effective and deserved warning not to behave like a jackass? It will become clear when the episode airs.
