Its a cycle:
1977: Healthy, full of energy
1978: Unhealthy, still full of energy
1981-1982: Very Unhealthy, energy gone
1983: Healthier, energy getting back
1985 - 2002: Healthy (for the most part), full of energy
2003 - 2004: Unhealthy, still full of energy
2006 - 2007: Very Unhealthy, energy gone
2008: Healthier, energy getting back
2010-Current: Healthy (for the most part), full of energy
hopefully the Healthy full of energy phase will last for 17 years like last time
