If that's what it takes, that's what it takes, but i'd much rather it was Meat's works that got him inducted rather a fan campaign.
Let Me Clarify:
I would prefer that Meat be given full recognition by the industy in which he helped evolve if not, at the very least, creating a league of his own in Rock and Roll. However with the current nomination structure the HoF reaks of favoritism and stupid popularity contests. It is simply corrupt. I would rather see the fans voice have more weight in the nomination process at least to balance out some unfair play. But after trying at length, we (the fans) don't hold any weight so there is no need for fans to try and attract the attention of the blinker blinded board. It is solely the industry who has to nominate. Some of the inductees I feel are a blatent slap in the face by the HoF.

IMO: Since it is labeled a HoF and that seems to be a benchmark of success to the general public, I think it may get to Meat at times, but overall, I think he gives the proverbial middle finger to the music industry's politics. I think the fans worry about the industry driven prostegious awards more than Meat does.

Anyone can here can create a R&R HoF similar to what Sarge has and no doubt any one here would have him champion there.
