Racing In The Street has always been one of my favorite tracks on Darkness On The Edge Of Town. I remember how I listened to it the first time. It was a friend's house, we had found the LP while browsing his mom's record collection. I wanted to have that album! Unfortunately it was not available, the only Bruce record that was released over here was Born In The U.S.A. It was one of the first albums on my wish list that I bought when I finally got the chance. Now I can even purchase it as a part of a promising looking box.

His voice was pretty rough that show, but I kind of like it in spots too.
Darkness is my second favorite Bruce album; actually, it's kind of 1a behind
The Wild and Innocent. I for one cannot wait for this box!
I'm curious- how did your friend's mom get the album?

Nassau Coliseum 12/29/80- by some estimations, the greatest recorded version of
Incident, ever!

It's never too late, Padawan.
Besides, how are you not a Springsteen fan already? Don't you live in PA? That's pretty much Ground Zero for Bruce fandom.

SPL? I hear that place is a ghost town since the mods cleaned house a while back. Prior to that, they probably would have hung you out to dry!
