Actually though, Britain does have some stunningly good restaurants these days. One thing I like about Britain is that you can get great food of any type (eg Italian, Indian, Chinese, and of course, British, and so on) as well as at any price. Eg a cheap and cheerful fry up in a greasy spoon can be as good as the finest steak in the most expensive restaurant.
I don't know if that's the same in too many places? I mean, we didn't see that many Chinese or Indian restaurants when we went to Italy! Probably is like that in places Britain invented, like the USA and Australia

That's true, I even found a nice Mexican restaurant last year when I was there for Meat's concerts. And that's right we Aussies have a pretty diverse selection of restaurants here too.
