It was a good few years back but mum and I went to see Gran do her bells at the local church. To start off we were late so there was a big kerfufflel while we found our seats, then during the interval I went to get the drinks and as they were cups and saucers I balanced one on the other so I could carry the three back, gran noting this got up and said, 'Here let me help you.' Or something to that effect only her foot caught the corner of the carpet and she did a little trip and run thing but luckily she didn't fall over, so we ended up laughing about that, then during the course of drinking our drinks people came round with mince pies, the kind with icing sugar on top.
First off I lifted my hand to tap mum on the arm as I had remembered something only I knocked the mince pie out of her hand and it landed upside down in her lap and please note she was wearing a black skirt
!!!
Then as gran took a bite of her's icing sugar puffed everywhere !!
But the thing that absolutely topped off this evening was at the end when we had to give a contribution, Gran got out her purse and said that she only had a £10 note and started routing in the collection tin for change, mum and I just died of embarrassment

But everytime I think or tell this story I absolutely crease !!
