I don't think the plan was to move everyone just to move the lazy ones who can't be arsed to get a job to move South and take up the jobs the immigrants are doing down South. That then would solve Geordieloaf's argument of too many different nationalities in south and then you'd make ALL of England the real England.
In a way it makes perfect sense.

So isn't there lazy people down south that don't work? I'm sure there are in which case give them the job's that other Nationalities are currently doing down there. Then it would free up more space for us Northerners to move in with are whippet's, flat caps and peas pudding!
