Meat has always said that you either LOVE Meat Loaf and Bat Out Of Hell, or you hate it.
So what's the point in him playing festivals where a large proportion of the people there are not his target audience and have come to see other bands.
Seems to me that Meat is already under enough fire from so called "fans" at his own concerts, so he'd be on a hiding to nothing playing gigs where people just want to see crap bands like Coldplay or Oasis
