please dont hurt me, but i have to say this although they are good songs, CHSIB is not my favourate album
Why on earth should anyone want to hurt you? Although when you start a thread with this and give no explanations I'm not sure what you expect to follow .. I have to say brussels sprouts aren't a favourite of mine :)

However, as to CHSIB it IS a very special album in my view. And I have reasons .. I love the newness, the freshness of it. As I said on the other thread you started up to say essentially "CHSIB's done, what next?", I still love BOOH which is a classic .. but this is new .. this is NOW .. and perhaps because I am of a similar age to Meat I love the maturity and depth of this album.

These are not the songs of young angst .. these are the songs of a man who has lived and loved .. I adore them. I believe these songs are as full of passion and meaning as any Meat has recorded, and they are delivered with a mature depth of passion that grips my soul. CHSIB and Did I Say That? are imo very powerful and emotive songs, and Do It!, Testify and Forever Young are for me so much more powerfully delivered by a man who's (forgive me Meat) walked a few miles around the block!

Perhaps that's why this album reaches out so strongly to many of us who have a few miles on the clock .. but the power of this album lies also I think in it's appeal to so many whose milometers would need no turning back for a quick sale :)

Perhaps you need to have been there, done that and got the bloody Tshirt to truly appreciate the wonderful lyrics of this album, particularly Why Isn't That Enough?, You're Right, I Was Wrong, Man Of Steel and Love You Out Loud .. well I have that Tshirt .. It and I have been around the block .. we know every building, stop sign, ginnel and turning! :) ..

And to those who can't appreciate its depth of passion I say .. wait until you've lived and loved a distance .. and if you've done that .. well you must have lived an extraordinarily level life .. mine has been a path of peaks and valleys .. and this album mirrors them all with soul and passion .. This IS real time .. this IS larger than life!!
