Of course this might be from someone who heard someone say to someone something they'd heard someone say .. etc .. etc ... and the original comment might just as well have been someone saying "whew .. this heat and altitude's a killer .. even Meat felt a bit faint earlier today" .. a bit like the old tale of how "send reinforcements we're going to advance" becomes "Send three and fourpence we're going to a dance" by the time it's passed down the line. |

But seriously this is so true and I'm sure we all know how easily rumour and gossip can start. I'm sure he's doing his best to take care of himself, listening to medical advice and ensuring he protects the commitments he has to the tour.
