Hi Rob,

The guitar in question is a BC RICH MOCKINGBIRD. This particular instrument was hand built by Bernie Rico SR. and his son Bernie JR. in California.

Here's a great page about Bernie SR. (R.I.P.) that was written by Ed Roman:

The guitar is loaded with a boat load of electronics hence is ridiculous sustain.

All of my guitars (except one Ed Roman Pearlcaster) are loaded with Seymour Duncan (humbucking) pickups. Great product!!!

Wood... I prefer a combination of mahogany and maple for the body and either type (alone) for the neck with an ebony fretboard. Mahogany is very beefy. Maple is bright.

Hope that helps.

Metal,
Crook
