The other solution is the good old hard reset on the router/modem, pull it's plug out wait ten seconds then plug it back in again.

Thanks for these suggestions guys, but they're all things I've done, and frequently have to do four or five times a day, five or six times a week, and frankly, I'm sick to death of it... We've never really found AOL's 'help' service to be much help, and we've pretty much decided to change the service now, it's just a case of which one we change to!
