You should read your own posts again.

I disagreed with that statement because mutism isn't always connected with deafness. It can be a condition brought on by anxiety at an early age, which actually affects about 1 in every 1000 children. It also can be brought on by some medical conditions, head injuries, voice-box removal etc etc
Then you changed your stance by saying
"...people are mute USUALLY because they are deaf..." which is a statement I agree with.
I've never said the majority of cases for people who are mute or dumb aren't caused by deafness, I said
"There are a load of people who have the ability to hear but not speak" which with your medical education is a statement you would have to agree with.
