Mercury have based their 'promotion' on the fact that its a BOOH album, and thats about it really. Uni have paid for the prime promotion of The Killers, Razorlight (including £250,000 on 3 foot card stands and more on 12' square boxes), same with Scissor Sisters, even ****ing Beck (Which has sold next to **** all) and Meat gets a few beer mats. Nothing for window displays. I got my stuff (in store promotional items) over a WEEK after it was released.
It seems as though its a case of 'well, we've took a chance on this, the last two albums didn't sell overly well (CHSIB, BOOH Live) so we'll just let whatever happens, happen'.
Meat should have done Bat 3 on our label :P
