Actually, I just got to thinking, Meat is likely out of the hospital already and recovering at home. With the state of the American health care system, they are practically chasing you out of the hospital before they've cleared all the clamps and sponges!
Literally, my son had open heart surgery (with his heart completely stopped for 53 minutes) at age 4 and they discharged us in 5 days! So a "routine" intestinal surgery is likely only a 2-3 day hospital stay. Let's hope that ML is comfortable at home, it's never fun to be at the hospital!
