The strangest I´ve ever heard was the following (I´ve heard it long ago and thatswhy without guarantee):
Somewhere, cant remember where, it is illegal to whistle underwater.
You should all live here in Germany! We´ve got many weird laws, although most of them are not really weird, but deadly bureaucratic.
Officially, every restaurant or diner has to have a guest toilet and an emergency exit. Not weird? It is, if you know that this includes hot dog stalls and wurst stands!
Some weeks ago I´ve ordered a CD from the US, unfortunately there was no bill
on the outside of the package, so I had to drive to the customs to pay duty. I´ve called them before to ask if that´s all right, because the CD was just about 5€ worth. They told me that there are no customs to be paid as long as it´s cheaper than 25€. Now the weird thing:
I had to drive their, had to pay officially 0€, was getting a quittance the paid price of 0€ and then I had to go with this quittance to another building and get my package...
