Ah, Mariella! You? stupid?? NEVER! You're one of the smartest people I know!!
Thanks, kiddo! Yeah, I ran a huge website for a British actor/singer for nearly 8 years. Ran a large club for him for over 12 years.
But to be honest, for the past year-and-a-half or so, I've been toying with doing something with ML on the web. So many good Meaty sites around, though, that I'd like to find my own little niche, so as not to step on anyone else's toes, so to speak....But one never knows.
As for computers, well, we got our first one back in 1977!! So, that's a LONG time to be around them. Talk about an industry changing!!! You wouldn't believe what a 1977 computer was like!! It had about 4k of memory and NO HARDDRIVE!! Everything worked off of cassettes (That's right--the same things you use for music!). The big thing at the time was to get a 5 inch floppy drive! Now, you don't even see those anymore! There were no graphics. "Pictures" were drawn using letters and punctuation marks, like the 'smileys', but more complex.
Our first connection to another computer was a dial up to Compuserve. This was before the Internet, before AOL. Our connection speed was 300 baud (56K means 56,000 baud). The only thing available was, surprisingly, forums! But all they talked about was computers.
The number one computer game was a white dot moving back and forth across the 12" screen between two vertical white lines. It was called "Pong." It seems so unbelievable, when you see what we're all 'playing' with today!!
But having started so long ago doesn't make one smarter or dumber than anyone else. It's just a matter of experience!
Besides, you're learning more and more about YOUR computer every day!! (Sometimes, the hard way, I know!!

) Give yourself a little more time!
Uh, oh! Better stop! R.'s gonna kill us! We went from poker chips to computer chips. Anybody got any potato chips?? Dip???
Love ya!
