I think you are quite right about "Real American" being a later (and more popular, actually) theme. The wrestlers change their themes quite often. Most recently Hogan has used "Voodoo Chile" by Hendrix. (Though this is confusing because he now wrestles as a masked character named Mr. America and claims not to be Hogan so he does not use the Hendrix theme) Oy, the melodrama of WWE!
