I think Meat must have been too busy to do a video, he was either touring, or not feeling well (been in hospital twice in 2003), and more artist have done a cartoon-video (Robbie Williams is one that comes to mind from that time).
And I do not know what costs more - but am guessing a cartoonvideo is cheaper, and do not think the record-company wanted to put a lot of money into singles-release from CHSIB...
I too hope the video's for BatIII will be better (mini-movies suit his music, I think...but being the optimist I am...I think they will be
