When I was six it was at that time that Bat II conquered the world, and Anything For Love was top of the charts. I think even at that age I was impressed by the voice and the lovely melodies, and it was the first song that I knew the full title and artist of, which considering my age and the length of the title is quite an achievement!
All the other songs I "liked" I just knew I liked them, knew nothing about the artist or title. Mam got the album for Christmas that year, and I remember seeing it on top of the video cabinet beside the stereo and thinking "Oh, that looks interesting," but thought no more about it for the next five years until I heard it properly and found that I'd heard it before (How can anyone forget Wasted Youth?!
).
